In the beginning...
Well, the beginning was some time ago, but after yesterday there is a very good reason to begin again. Let's start at the "start" - I know I'm rambling, but that is very much the theme of this blog. My ramblings. SO - yeah, read on.
I stepped back on my skateboard in the winter of 2007. I was in Hong Kong and just received word of my fathers passing. A good friend (even though we had just met) took me on the town HK style. Red carpets, velvet ropes huge Chineese bouncers and yes even Jackie Chan was there. Anyway, the following day we went skateboarding. The only shoes I had with me we're some Heely's and they are basically high heel sneakers. It sucked. BUT I was hooked - again after ten or so years... I made a pledge that day to "make it happen" while I still could. For myself, in memory of my dad. I never knew him, barely if at all. But even that inspired me to become the man and father I am today. It's not really about the experinces, it's all about what you learn from them.
So fast forward to now.
I just had an extremely good meeting with the guys @ Deathwish skateboards.
Welcome to mines mind. Grab on and hold tight it only gets deeper from here.
This first post is dedicated to the memory of my Father. John De Camp. Rest in Peace dad. I forgive you ~
Erik Ellington and I. (DeathKids concept board prototype)

Erik Showing the design concept to Lizard... They we're so stoked. Amazing group of guys!

Let me take a minute to speak regarding the Deathwish / Baker guys. They all rip, as people, as skateboarders, and as individuals. Skateboard art, Jim Phillips etc. is what made me pick up a pencil and draw. (Maybe Uncanny X-men 207 too?) But mostly those old boards. I couldn't get enough of that stuff. Now I may have the chance to join the ranks of such amazing artists and people. Thanks to all of the Deathwish / Baker crew. You inspire me on many levels. Let's do this!
